As we pass our fourth birthday stuck behind closed doors, we continue our look back through the history books, this time looking back a year to our various celebrations for birthday number three...
CLOSURE UPDATE
While there has been an easing of restrictions across a number of different activities, the close quarters of guests when using the racing controllers is something we are unable to change. Until such a time when social distancing is not required, we are unable to say when our Race Party will be able to operate again. We will keep everyone updated with any changes to the situation as soon as such a time occurs.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO US
At this time last year as we clocked over on our third birthday, we celebrated in style. Living it up like people who had never heard the term ‘social distancing’, not only did we hold an exclusive 3rd birthday bash in the venue, we also did a live cross to the TV show Studio 10 to celebrate the occasion.
Our in venue birthday party was an exclusive event for all of the friends and family of Race Party, thanking them for all of their support over the life of the last three years. The fun and excitement ran well into the late night as the guests enjoyed great food and drinks, all while racing in different formats and room layouts.
When it came time for the speeches, Race Party director Noirin Mosley took to the mic to say a few words about the business and to thank all who had come along on the journey.
It was a highly enjoyable night for all in attendance, a wonderful opportunity to reflect on everything that had happened at Race Party over the first three years, and a chance to look ahead to what lay ahead (not that anyone saw this coming!).
A few days later Race Party made another appearance on TV, this time to celebrate our 3rd birthday on a live cross to Studio 10 one the Ten Network.
With reporter Nat Hunter in the venue, a live link was made back to the Stdio 10 team. Sarah Harris, Denise Scott, Angela Bishop and Richard Reid all expressed their envy at not being in the venue and it was up to Nat to show them all how it was done.
With a number of our business and charity friends in attendance, some hot racing action and a champagne bottle confetti cannon to finish, the cross was a great opportunity to showcase the venue to an entirely new time slot and demographic.
